A note on who we are: we are Beijing Siwenlide, providing enterprise network packages and IT operations, and we are one of the fourth category below. This article lists the four types of network service providers available to Beijing enterprises and explains what each type covers, what it does not cover, and who it suits.

Let’s clear up one misunderstanding first: the ”network” here is not about building websites

In September 2026 we searched for ”Beijing enterprise network service providers”, and the six results on the first page were all rankings such as ”Top 10 Website Development Companies in Beijing”. Website companies look after corporate websites and mini-programs; they do not deal with the network cables, switches, Wi-Fi or firewalls in your office, nor with how two offices are connected. This article is about the latter: office networks, multi-branch networking, network equipment and operations.

A company’s office network consists of four parts

In many companies, network problems are not caused by any single part being done badly, but by the four parts being handed to four different vendors, so that when something goes wrong nobody is responsible for the whole picture. The carrier says it is an equipment problem, the equipment vendor says it is a cabling problem, and the cabling contractor closed out the project and left long ago.

The network service providers available to Beijing enterprises fall into four categories

Category 1: Carrier government and enterprise departments

The Beijing branches of China Telecom, China Unicom and China Mobile all have government and enterprise customer departments that provide broadband, private lines and fixed public IP addresses, and also build cross-region networking private lines. The line itself can only come from them. They generally do not look after the switches and Wi-Fi in your office, and they do not provide day-to-day operations. Suitable for: companies that need private lines, fixed addresses or inter-city connectivity, as a source of lines.

Category 2: Networking product vendors

Oray Pgy, iKuai, Sangfor and others sell networking devices or platforms; buy one, configure it as instructed, and two offices can connect to each other. The devices are easy to use, but configuration, troubleshooting and security policies are up to you. Suitable for: companies that already have someone who understands networking and are only missing a good tool.

Category 3: System integrators and low-voltage engineering companies

They handle one-off projects such as cabling, server rooms, surveillance and meeting rooms. There are a great many such companies in Beijing, from listed companies to crews of a dozen people. They charge per project and finish at acceptance, and who maintains it afterwards has to be negotiated separately. Suitable for: one-off needs such as new office fit-outs, relocations and server room renovations.

Category 4: Network package service providers

They put network equipment, cabling, networking and day-to-day operations into a single contract with a monthly fee. Siwenlide belongs to this category: founded in 2011, based in Shunyi, certified to ISO 9001 (registration no. 03826Q04830R001) and ISO 20000 (registration no. 03826IT00184R001), valid until September 2029, providing firewalls, routers, switches and enterprise-grade wireless APs (MikroTik and Huawei brands) free of charge for the contract term, and responsible for structured cabling, encrypted multi-branch interconnection, remote access and day-to-day operations. Internet lines are provided by carriers; we help customers choose lines, handle the provisioning and set up multi-line backup. There are not many of this type in Beijing; most IT outsourcing companies only manage computers and not networks, and the equipment has to be bought by the customer.

First, work out which category you need

Five questions to ask before signing

1. Who owns the equipment? Who pays if it breaks? How the contract ends must be written into the body of the agreement.
2. Who do you call when the network goes down? How soon will they arrive? Can line, equipment and cabling problems all be solved with one phone call?
3. How will the two offices be connected? A private line, networking equipment or encrypted interconnection — what does each cost, and how do you fail over when it goes down?
4. How is remote access handled? When employees access company systems from outside, do those systems have to be exposed to the public internet?
5. Who maintains the firewall policies, and how often are they reviewed? In many companies, no one has logged into the firewall since it was installed.

What we can do, and what we are not suited for

• Network Equipment Package: firewalls, routers, switches and wireless APs provided free of charge with warranty for the contract term; if one fails, we replace it.
• Cabling and server rooms: structured cabling, rack organization, low-voltage room renovation — the same team that handles ongoing operations.
• Multi-branch interconnection: headquarters, branches, factories and warehouses connected with encryption, all managed as one network.
• Remote access: our in-house zero trust remote access, sTrust — internal systems are not exposed to the public internet, access is granted per person, and revoked the day someone leaves.
• Day-to-day operations: outages, Wi-Fi, printing and computers all managed together, with unlimited service requests.

FAQ

Q: To connect two offices, do we have to get a dedicated line?
A: Not necessarily. Most small and medium-sized businesses can get by with two ordinary broadband connections plus encrypted networking, at a much lower cost. A dedicated line is only needed if you have very high latency and stability requirements, or compliance obligations.
