In digital business operations, the network and security work within IT services is the cornerstone of smooth business operations, focusing on five core modules — internal and external network maintenance, structured cabling, surveillance installation, network troubleshooting, and wireless network maintenance — to form a comprehensive technical support system.

I. Structured Cabling

This builds the “physical skeleton” of the enterprise network. Before construction, a sound cabling plan must be designed based on the office layout and business requirements, defining information point locations and cable routes, and avoiding interference with power lines. During construction, compliant cables and accessories are used, with wall slotting, conduit installation, and termination carried out to standard, along with clear labeling to facilitate future maintenance. After completion, link testing is performed to ensure data transmission rate and stability — for example, completing cabling for more than 100 information points in a new office area so that network and telephone lines at every workstation work properly.

II. Internal and External Network Maintenance

This safeguards the “lifeline” of the enterprise network. For the internal network, a stable LAN architecture must be built, with routers, switches, and other equipment configured and VLANs segmented to isolate different departments, ensuring the security of core data transmission in finance, R&D, and other functions; internal bandwidth usage is checked regularly and network configurations optimized to avoid lag and latency caused by aging equipment or improper parameters. For the external network, firewall settings, IP address mapping, and related work filter out malicious access requests and secure data exchange between the enterprise and the outside world; the stability of external private lines is also monitored, with timely coordination with carriers to resolve outages, packet loss, and other issues, ensuring normal access to office email and online business systems.

III. Network Troubleshooting and Maintenance

This resolves network “faults” quickly. A routine troubleshooting mechanism is established, using network monitoring tools to track traffic and port status in real time and detect anomalies such as packet loss, outages, and IP conflicts. After a fault report is received, a “segmented troubleshooting” approach is used to locate the root cause — for example, when a department cannot access the internet, the terminal network card, switch port, and router configuration are checked in sequence to quickly resolve issues such as loose connections or configuration errors. After the fault is resolved, records are kept, causes analyzed, and network configurations optimized to prevent similar faults from recurring.

IV. Wireless Network Maintenance

This keeps wireless access “stable and uninterrupted.” Based on the size of the office area and the wall structure, wireless APs are deployed reasonably to avoid signal blind spots; wireless encryption is configured to prevent unauthorized intrusion into the network. Wireless signal strength and stability are tested regularly, and AP positions or power adjusted to resolve signal interference, slow speeds, and other issues. For high-density access scenarios such as meetings and large events, bandwidth is expanded and channels optimized in advance to keep the network smooth even with many simultaneous connections.

These efforts work together to build a stable operating system for the enterprise’s network and security, providing solid IT support for daily office work and business operations.
